Item Description
This 2014 Chevy Impala is being removed from service as part of our police department's standard fleet replacement plan. This is a decommissioned marked patrol vehicle that was originally assigned to the department's School Resource Officer and then the Chief of Police as an unmarked vehicle. It currently has 64,135 miles and will be due for an oil change at 66,875 miles. A new battery was installed on June 4th, 2022. The tires are Goodyear Eagle Ultra pursuit rated that were installed at 57,973 miles. Recent repairs include a passenger side ball joint replacement in October of 2022 and a driver side rear strut replaced in November of 2022. There are no known problems with this car other then normal wear & tear consistent with an eight year old patrol car. Everything is described to the best of our knowledge. There is no warranty included with the sale of this vehicle.
If the buyer is another public safety entity the vehicle will come with the following aftermarket equipment. This equipment will be removed prior to delivery if sold to a non-public safety person/entity.
-Wig Wag headlight flashers
-Whelen TIR3 red/blue grill lights (4)
-Sound-Off Signal DUO red/blue side window lights
-Alternating/flashing tail lights
-Whelen TIR3 red/blue rear window deck lights (2)

In November, 2019 the car was involved in a single car accident where it hydroplaned on wet roads and went off the roadway into the grassy roadside. There was damage to the vehicle that was professionally repaired by a local body shop. The car was subsequently returned to service with no known issues as a result. There is no rust related issues that we are aware of.

What if the selling agency rejects my bid?
If the government agency rejects your bid (they reserve the right to do so) your buyer's fee will be returned, in full, to you within 5 days of notification to Municibid of the rejected bid by the governing body.
